The Perfect 3-Day Busan Itinerary

Got three days in Busan? This 3-day Busan itinerary covers the city’s best beaches, temples, markets and viewpoints at a relaxed pace, with subway-friendly routes for each day.

Day 1: Beaches & the East Coast

Start at Haeundae Beach (해운대), then ride the Blueline Park sky capsule along the coast to Cheongsapo. In the afternoon, head to Haedong Yonggungsa (해동용궁사), a stunning seaside temple built on the rocks. End the day with dinner and night views at Marine City. Tip: Go to Yonggungsa early to beat the crowds; it’s about 30 minutes by bus from Haeundae.

Day 2: Old Town, Markets & Gamcheon

Explore the old downtown on foot: Jagalchi Market (자갈치시장) for seafood, BIFF Square for street food, and Gukje Market for shopping. In the afternoon, visit the colorful Gamcheon Culture Village (감천문화마을), then catch sunset from Busan Tower in Yongdusan Park. Tip: Wear comfortable shoes — Gamcheon is built on a steep hillside with lots of stairs.

Day 3: Views, Islands & Gwangalli

Spend the morning on Yeongdo Island at the seaside Huinnyeoul Culture Village (흰여울문화마을) and the Songdo Skywalk or cable car. In the evening, relax at Gwangalli Beach (광안리) with a view of the illuminated Gwangan Bridge — and the drone light show if it’s the weekend. Tip: Save Gwangalli for last; the bridge lights up after dark and it’s the perfect farewell to Busan.

Practical Tips

Buy a rechargeable T-money or Cashbee card for the subway and buses — it works everywhere and saves time. Busan’s metro connects most sights, but a few spots (Yonggungsa, Gamcheon) need a short bus or taxi. Download a map app like Naver Map or KakaoMap, since Google Maps is limited in Korea.
